About Me

Hi, I'm Ruby! My love for mosaics started with my Nana, who first introduced me to the joy of making something beautiful by hand. She taught me using pieces from her “broken dishes closet,” where shelves were filled with chipped plates, broken teacups, and all sorts of colorful little treasures. We spent afternoons creating colorful, maximalist pieces together and I quickly fell in love with the process.

That love for creating has stayed with me ever since and eventually became the inspiration behind Mosaics by Ruby.

I’m drawn to color, pattern, texture, and anything with a little character. I work with vintage china, antique tiles, seashells, Murano glass, and found treasures to create colorful, one-of-a-kind pieces for the home.

Every piece is handmade in New York and completely unique. All made to bring a little more color and joy into your space!
